I have enjoyed the watercolor class very much so far. I feel more comfortable with the brushes and the water and am learning how to make both work together. Watercolor is very relaxing, and so far my favorite part has been the homework. My experience in this painting class has been a very positive one. Watercolor has taught me to relax and to literally go with the flow of things. When I started, I was intimidated by watercolor. I could not control it like I could with acrylic painting. Overall, I have loved learning watercolor painting and see it as something I will continue doing the rest of my life. Watercolor painting really teaches you to slow down, and when you are painting all the worries of life escape your head and it is just you with the brush, nothing else. How amazing! Just using three colors with yellow, red, and blue can make a lot of colors. When my professor showed and taught us how to use those three colors, I was really surprised. I like drawing since I was a child, but I didn’t learn formally. Also, our professor’s spirit of never give up for seeking his dream that encourage me, and I keep it in my mind. I think the natural pictures are beautiful and make me feel peace and relax. I think painting these kinds of pictures can be against war, cigarettes, or pictures about animals and their protection environmental problems.
