Watercolor fixing techniques to make over a watercolor painting
Watercolor portrait painting demonstration
Yong used his student's first watercolor painting exercise as an example, to show you how to give a total make over of a watercolor painting with problems of value and perspective.
Yong described the process should start from the idea. He used a pencil to put down the changes that he was going to make to the painting. Then he used lifting-off technique to light-up the areas that were too dark. Yong also pointed out a simple solution to reduce the attention and create a more relaxing painting. In this demo, Yong gave a total make over to a painting to demonstrate the power of understanding how the water, pigment and paper work together, and the techniques that you need to clean up a watercolor painting, and bring your painting to the next level with a pleasing result with confidence.
