Painting a Watercolor Portrait of a Child from Photograph

In this demonstration, Yong demonstrated the methods, and the techniques he used for a watercolor portrait painting from start to finish. He spent time to explain the thought process in the drawing stage, on how to design the composition started from the big shapes to small details, to get the mind to be ready for the painting. Then he started the wash with the base skin-tone color to the face. Colors and value are two importrant to manage in the painting process, other than to capture the likeness and the personality. If you like, please use one of your favorite photograph and follow Mr. Chen's step to painting a portrait on your own. Thanks for watching.
