Jialing Guo's watercolor learning experience:
After four weeks learning about watercolor, I learnt how to mix color and make new colors and how to “play” with water. Mixing color and making new colors is my favorite part. However I am still not very confident with my paintings, but I am proud of the new colors that I made. Water is the important part in watercolor. It can make the color whether lighter or darker. How to control the water is a hard thing. When I try to paint from a picture, I always have the color darker than they suppose to be. I think I can paint better when I do everything exactally like the picture.

During these weeks of using watercolor, I realized that control water is hard; dealing with color and water is even harder. It wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. It need time to practice before you find a sense and a feeling to paint a good picture.
