Cristina Gibau's watercolor learning experience:
I had a fun and creative experience creating a mother day card. for mother’s day, on Sunday. I created the card with the techniques I’ve learn this semester, in Yong Chen watercolor class. The first step on creating the card was I had to make sure the envelope is bigger than the card. Also in the process I had to make sure the card was at least 6 by 9 and not over sized. In the process I had to decide on what type of boarder or outline I wanted on the card. I had to make sure the painting is completely dry and flat in order to form the card. To fold the card in half you press down with a pen to get an even fold. I hope my mother enjoys the mother day card that I’ve created for her. For future reference I well make greeting cards, birthday cards, baby shower and invitation cards by using this process. In my opinion I believe a homemade card, am more meaningful then store bought cards.
