Cristina Gibau's watercolor learning experience:
When it comes to watercoloring, i definetly have a novice understanding of it. My only previous experience was at an elementary schoool level. That obviously was not as focused as this class will be. I have always looked at this art form as more for children. Definetly did not take it as serious as oil paintings. Knowing that i was to take this class i did look into it a little bit, not too much, but i did gain more respect for it. The most famous name was Van Gogh, knowing that some one like him used water colors, gave it credibility. Also the fact that it is a commonly used form of art in Asian countries such as China and Japan. As for any skills i might have developed now, i would say im still a beginner with a little more knowledge of how to use water coloring to lighten and darken my drawings. Hopefully with a little more training i can create something i can proudly frame and display in my house.
