Phyu Than's watercolor learning experience:
I am taking water color class in this semester and this class is requirement for my accounting major. But I really interested about drawing and painting. This is my hobby and it makes me peace in mind.

When I draw some picture I feel really happy and time pass by really fast. I can draw all day without eating anything and doing nothing. But I don't know anything about water color before. I thought water color is coloring or painting. After I take this water color class I know a lot of thing about water color.

This class is really good and this is my favorite class. Because this is morning class and I can learn a lot of things about painting. I didn't know about how to mix color and how to get different color from three primary colors. Right now I know how to use three primary colors to mix any other color from these three colors. Three primary colors are yellow, red and blue. At first I put yellow and red color on the color pallet. I clean my brush in the water, and then mix these two colors I can get orange color. If I mix red and blue color I can get purple color. I mix blue and yellow color, I can get green color. We did this lesson in the first class and it was fun.

We also drew a house and we colored this house in the first class. My professor Yong said we need to start to draw easy and basic picture. I think this is a great idea because I draw an easy one it is easy way to learn and easy to remember.

Every class we have a model and my professor shows us how to draw and paint during twenty minutes. He planned the process of quick watercolor portrait painting as using light to dark traditional method. When my professor Yong draw a model picture he used a regular pencil to make the marks on the paper, to organize the thoughts. Then he quickly started the painting from the main subject, using a round brush. He draws a picture really fast and I never saw someone draw picture very quick. This is the first time and it was amazing. Yong showed us all the watercolor portrait painting from start to finish.

So this is a really good class and it makes me feel happy and peaceful. I can learn a lot of different ways about water color painting and I can learn all of my classmates' drawing and painting.
