Ada Mai's watercolor learning experience:
Spring House: I love spring, so my final project has a nice name “ Spring House”. Green is spring’s color, I paint my house to light green; red is flower’s color, so I wear red jacket, and the tree has red leaves. The weather in spring still can feel a bit of cold, but , fortunately we have sunshine. Even sunshine is not so strong yet, but we still can feel warm. The sunshine and light green keep winter away. Finally, spring is around us!

Because my photo reference is not perfect, so I have difficulty to paint my house. I take my photo in a cloudy day, so the shadow isnot clear, and the house original color is white, all those unperfected make me feel confuse. I need to think about how the light coming and the where the shadows are. I check weather forecast every day to make sure I can catch the right time and right shadow and right position; I go out to observe how the tree looks like in spring.
Finally, I spent two weeks to finish my painting, but I don’t feel satisfy the result. I have learn one important thing from this time. That is a perfect photo reference is very important.
