Ada Mai's watercolor learning experience:
Water color, I saw this word so many times, but I had never touch water color until I take the Water color class. In my impression, water color is complicated, and is difficult to learn. However, I take the class this semester because I want to know more about water color.

There are three basic colors in the color wheel. There are red, yellow and blue. Red mix yellow with different amount of water can mix different value of orange. Red and blue mix with different amount of water can be different value of purple. Yellow and blue can make different value of green.

When we want to painting, we can draw a first drawing, and then fill up color. Wash is one of the watercolor techniques. We can use a wet brush to describe the area where you want the color go. Wash can prevent the color run everywhere when we fill in color. When we want to correct painting, use lift off technique. Using wet brush wash the place where you want to correct, and then use dry brush to take the color off.

I our painting, we also need to think about the real. Shadow is very important. Everything has a shadow. Sometimes, shadow can be a subject. It can show your deep of your mind.

We are learning use one color with different amount of water to paint. I have a lot of fun now, and I also know a little more about water color.
