Watercolor Portrait of a Little Girl in Flower Dress
Watercolor painting on watercolor paper, 1996
This is a watercolor portrait painting from a photograph. This little girl is the daughter of a friend of mine, a colleague from the publishing company I worked. The portrait painting took me about two hour to finish.
Though the photograph for my reference was good, giving me most details I need, I re-organized the values, color temperature, and picture a new painting in my mind before I proceeded. Plus, as we were friends, I met the girl very week, that helped me to know her personality well.
