About Yong Chen

Yong is a studio arts professor in Boston, Massachusetts. He is also an accomplished author, illustrator and painter with paintings exhibited in multiple countries and found in private collections both here and abroad. Yong is the founder of EnjoyingArt, an artist community where he is teaching, coaching, and supporting members from across the US and around the world.

Yong earned his Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from the University of Hartford and has 30 years of teaching experience. He promotes relaxed art-making using a systematic, yet creative process. Yong is not only expert with watercolor, but also excellent with Chinese calligraphy, acrylic, gouache, oil, and digital art covering all subject matter. And Yong is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society.

Yong’s passion for painting, storytelling and teaching started in his early childhood. He hopes to continue to grow a community that is filled with care and support for like-minded artists.
