Maggie Deng's watercolor learning experience:
Before I took the class of water color, I didn’t know nothing about watercolor painting. I thought it is so boring and difficult to learn. After the first class, I changed my mind. First, our professor’s spirit of never give up for seeking his dream stimulated me to study hard. Also, his students’ pictures were surprising me. I couldn’t believe how beautiful pictures they painted. I learned color-mixing methods and studied how paper react to water and pigments. I learn watercolor painting techniques of dry-on-dry and wet-on-wet. I had a lot of fun by using three colors with yellow, red, and blue to make a lot of colors. It is just like our lives colorful. When I painted my first picture, I was so exciting by creating my ideal color to paint it. Even I spent several hours to paint it, I thought time run too fast because I was so enjoy watercolor painting. I think watercolor painting will be my hobby in the future. It seems a free space for me to create my life.
