Lifting Creates Distance and Space
Take a look at this painting. There are many good things: the texture is beautiful, and the use of scratching technique for the branches and the roof of the house is good. There is one thing I would like to see in this painting, and that is the distance and space between the hill and the background.
We need to use a value difference to accomplish this mission. I would like to keep the background value and the texture, and I am going to lighten up the area of the hill by using lifting-off technique.
After lifting off, I also add a light layer of yellow color to the new light area on the hill.
