How to Turn a Texture into a Painting
As a watercolor texture, this looks good. But as a watercolor painting, it needs to have a focal point and main interest.
First, let's draw and brainstorm the idea. We are going to add a hill. On the hill, there will be a house. And behind the house, there is a dark colored tree. To balance the house and the tree, we will need to have two trees at the left of the hill.
The first step is to try to lift off some color for the hill to make it lighter. However, the color is not much lighter after the lifting-off process. So, I decide to wash a thin layer of blue color to the background area behind the hill. Then, I start painting the house and the trees.
