Watercolor Lesson: Painting a Yellow Apple

Introduction:
We are doing an painting using Wet-into-Wet, Wet-on-Dry and lifting-off techniques. Before you are doing the painting, click on the image on the left to download the painting reference. Watch the watercolor demonstration videos before following the steps to paint.

You will first follow the demonstration to do the practice of Wet-into-Wet, Wet-on-Dry, and lifting-off watercolor techniques.

In the painting process, there are five key steps in this exercise: drawing, first wash with Wet-into-Wet in the apple area, work into the shadow area and balance colors, then adjust value contrast, and finally the final touch. Watch the entire process first, then watch each section and do it yourself.
